Studio Six
(1995)
|
|
| Studio six holds a special place in our hearts, because it was the first and only studio that was ever indoors. The Junior High's Drama teacher, Mr. Pitcher, was kind enough to occasionally let us in his room during lunch to do the show. This worked out great because it was warm, enclosed, and we got to do C.P. on an actual stage. There were some bizarre moments trapped in the curtains with some overly aggressive girls, but we don't like to talk about that. When we were taking the pictures of the studios, we really wanted to get a picture of the inside of this room, but the doors were locked, and we lacked the tools to pick the lock. Also, I think the rooms are alarmed, so that probably wouldn't have been such a good idea anyway.

Studio Seven

This was the first of two studios at Yucaipa High School, the final place of education that the show would take place. We called this The Horseshoe, because of the undeniable fact that it was shaped like a horseshoe. It was located right outside the newly built science building, so it was surely one of the cleanest spiffiest studios we ever had. We spent about a half-year at this location, until we decided that there were just way too many people around us for our own good. Apparently, the middle of the quad during lunch at a school of over a thousand students is not the best place to be inconspicuous. The sad thing is, it took us a half-year to figure that out. Funny and smart do not go hand in hand.

It took almost five years, but we finally found a studio worth staying at. Studio eight was by far the best studio we've ever had. It had shelter from the weather when necessary, it was semi-secluded, and it was spacious. We spent more than two years at this studio, and it saw us through our highest ups and our lowest downs. It was here that the cast expanded to ten, and it was also here where the cast shrunk back down to three. It was also here that the show took the shape it would end with. The pre-show bits, the intro, the bi-yearly awards show. I'd say that nearly all of C.P.'s best moments took place here, and I would be so right on. The final episode of Commercial Parodies took place here in late May of 1998.

Studio Nine
(1999)

| After more than a year, the new Commercial Parodies After Dark made it's debut on these trailers deep in the dead of night. It was the first studio that wasn't in the middle of a school, and chances are, it's the first studio that is on Private Property. After Dark only had a handful of episodes here, until we were approached by a pickup truck one night asking what we were doing. As you might well guess, we didn't have a very good answer.

Studio Ten

The current studio for any and all C.P. related stuff, although, knowing us, that's bound to change. This studio is surrounded by citrus trees, and is off a road that is obviously not maintained by the state. It's the only studio you have to hike to get to, but it's worth it, cause the view is great, and there's a bunch of barbed wire and No Trespassing signs all around. This was the first studio that ever saw someone call the cops on us, but we were too quick to get caught. (Quick, lucky... it's all the same) Nevertheless, it's been a loyal studio to us, and we're proud to include it in the ever-expanding history of the Commercial Parodies Comedy Show.
